wheel bearing/hub/knuckle?
does anyone know of any companies that sell hubs with the wheel bearing pressed in them already...i need new wheel bearings in front and i got quoted at 175 per side, so im wondering if just buying new hubs withe the bearing already in them would be cheaper..or does the wheel bearing get pressed into the knuckle?
.thanks

yes, the wheel bearing normally gets pressed into the hub of the knuckle assembly, when being replaced. Wheel bearings, by themselves, are kinda pricey to begin with.
$$-wise, you might be better off finding a used pair of knuckle/hub assemblies for your car.

I don't think you will find any hubs with wheel bearing assembled, since the bearing needs to be pressed into the knuckle first, then a snap ring installed, then the hub pressed into the bearing (UNLESS you are refering to the rear)

I believe you can, by an aftermarket company, I'm just NOT sure on who make them.....I've seen them too, just can't remember...I think it might Ground Control who made some aftermarket knuckle assembly.
IF you want to buy brand new OEM knuckle/hub assy. you're gonna spend some big time $$$.

You can't do it. You have to press the bearings into the knuckle FIRST, install the snap ring, THEN press the hub into the bearing. There is no other way of doing it.
do it like they say, u need a nice press, ...also when your hub is out, u can put longer studs in
. I just did this a few days ago, both fronts. The bearings were 40 each, which isnt' that bad. I also replaced all the studs while there. Luckily the shop is real cool and let me do it there, so i removed the old bearings, studs, snap ring there, and pressed em in. They just charged me 20$ for using the press and 8 bucks for studs and nuts
...hella good deal.
