I had a skunk2 mani with JG TB and it sucked. What i suggest you do for all motor or even a mild turbo setup is go ahead and get the Skunk2 manifold and keep the stock TB off the GSR and send it to like http://www.inlinefour.com for an overboring. Have is bored to 64mm, so that way its a perfect match up to the opening of the manifold.
i have a friend that has a spoon throttle bottle on a skunk2 manifold on his gs-r runs amazing get the spoon throttle body
yea i was thinkin about gettin a spoon TB...but isnt it like 70mm?
to get the most out of it i would have to port match the intake manifold no?

Yeah, you would have to port match it in order to fully use it. I personally dont think that its worth the $552.00 for it, and if u were gonna get a 70mm one you should get the inlinefour one...its only $360.00. But with all motor i think 65mm is perfect. Also, if you bore out a stock one to 64 or 65mm, nobody knows its a bigger bore (sleeper effect).
i agree with that 65 mm is all that u need or just pick up a jdm type-r one they are nice not sure what mm they are though
yea. i will either go with the jg one or bore out my stock one. dont really need a 70mm or higher one. at least not YET. haha.
thanks for your opinions/experiences.

dont go JG. I had one and it was all problems. If u want a 65mm one thats aftermarket, then get an STR one. Otherwise to the boring of the stock one. Trust me, dont get the JG one.
haha...aiite...thanks...
yea i heard good things and bad things...but i dont feel like dealing with the bad things that might happen to me...
good lookin out man...

I got a JG 64mm from some kid on eBay. Kinda nice cuz it had the map and tps sensors on actual screws. It was a bit dirty but I polished it. Port matched my Skunk2 perfectly. No problems since on the new turbo install. It was nice to not have to fix the throttle cable too.
i have a similar problem, i decided to go with a BBK SSI intake manifold but they dont make throttle bodies for gsr's which i find odd, what throttle body would you guys suggest for me??? i have a 97 db8 with basic bolt ons, but planning on going all motor, any help would be great, and sorry to jack your thread ddong2lee, but im pretty much on the same boat
i got a 99si with a 98 gsr, typeR cams, skunk2 intake mani, edlebrock 65mm tb **** runs crazy good after i put the oem tps on an set it to .50 an got a oem typeR tb gasket and bam. it didnt run good at first with there pre calibrated tps for some reason
