How about you have an indention like whats in the rear valence made in the passenger side skirt just in front of the rear wheel and mount it angled back, flush with the side skirt so it doesn't stick out. Just a clean side exit in front of the wheel. It would involve some body work, but it would look cool and no one would have that. Just an idea.

You are right, unless you custom-route the exhaust pipe straight back, under the rear subframe, with a single bend over to the right side, then mounting it up and angled is rice (if the pipe still goes over the right suspension like stock). The whole angled muffler thing first came about when Japanese racers wanted the least amount of exhaust restriction possible, and so ran their piping straight back, with a single bend over to the factory bumper cutout (so the stock hanger points could still be used, instead of having it come out from under the rear bumper in the middle).

However I still like how the angled mufflers look.
