1992 Civic HB Si Transmission questions??????????????????????

Default 1992 Civic HB Si Transmission questions??????????????????????

I have a close to stock 92 HB Si with the stock motor and transmission and I am wondering if there is a better transmission that will work with the stock motor and if so how easy of a swap is it??

The car only has 226 000 kms and is in great condition

any help is great thanks

No. The Si tranny is the best D-series tranny in terms of gearing. The D16Y8 has stronger shift forks which help in the reliability department, but as far as a tranny upgrade there is none. You COULD throw in a SRR 4.7 final drive and a quaife LSD, but i'm sure you dont wanna spend 2 grand upgrading your d-series transmission
