Car wont start...not the usual 'i just cant figure it out'
Alrighty i threw a rod and got a new block. I originally had a b16 sirII and now i have the same thing with an OBD 9 Bottom end. For some reason, the damn car wont start. I have fuel, i checked spark, underhood fuses, i hear my fuel pump, starter is turning crank. Everything SHOULD work (i get gas at least up to the fuel rail cause i got mad enough to take it off and watch it shoot gas while somone turned the key). I serioously CAN NOT figure out what the problem is, so im thinking it might be this wierdass Green sensor on the OBD 0 block that ive necver seen before and decided not to hook up. Its near the oil Filter and its about the size of a knock sensor with 2 plugs on it. Also, im wondering if i maybe hooked up my harness wrong and what key sensors would need to be working for the car to start. Thanks.
is the green plug up above the oil filter, and has 2 male pins coming out? if that's the knock sensor, the car will start.. did you set your timing right at TDC? i'm assuming you're running an OBD1 ECU.. you say an OBD0 block, is that complete long block? if you're running an OBD1 complete long block then you're going to want to run an OBD0 ecu with a harness adapter.
what CEL codes are you getting?
