Default code 8 TDC

my car has been studdering lately at idle and sometimes at acceleration. today i got the check engine light and i got a code 8 . =TDC position (top dead center) timing, is it really my timing belt or could it be anything else?by the way i have a d15b2

That is a sign of your distributor going bad.
The bearings are worn out and the shaft is moving which makes the magnetic pick up on that sensor skip.
You need a new distributor.
http://www.distributorking.com sells new, not remanufactured distributors. I am not 100% sure they carry the one for the DX engine, but worth a shot.
