ATTN: all drivers with 16" wheels!!! tire rubbing problem
i just put 16" kosei k1's on my 98 ls lowered on eibach sportlines and im having problems with a little tire rub. i have them wrapped in kumho ecsta supras (sp) 204-45-16. my question is... should i go with a smaller tire or get aftermarket adjustable shocks/struts? are there any other options/routes that i can take? have any of you had problems with this... i was thinking kyb agx , or tokico out of these which do you prefer??? any help will be appriciated!
No, I wouldn't go with a smaller tire.
When are you rubbing? Over dips in the road? Shar turns? Up front?
In the back?

I have a 98 LS with 16's and 205-45-16 Kuhmo's and no rubbing here... its probably because your rims are 16x7.5 instead of 16x7
Im also dropped on Eibach's Pro-kit

its only rubbing in the rear and i have the rear camber kit installed! i am ready to purchase my front kit soon.... i also found out that the wheels came off of a 99 civic si so thats probably my problem ... the difference in the offset! anyone know what the offset is for that car? i was told like 38mm. if this is indeed true i will need to get spacers but i still dont think that will solve my problem!
Hey - I saw that you are selling these in the FS forum, though I'm too new to post in there. I dont know if you still are checking this thread, but I live in OH and would love to get those wheels from you. Please email me

in order to see why you are rubbing your tires, u need to take the drop, the tire size, the rim size, and the offset all into consideration.
I have rims with +35mm, use 205/45-16 and it rubs like crazy on hard turns and sharp turns.
Getting a smaller profile tire will help eliminate teh problem, but you will also have a bigger gap between the fener and tire.
