I decided to add Rs door covers to add a little more security. Im hopeful that this will stop the highschool kids sticking hangers down my window and popping the doors.

The new covers. like 10.20 from acura each

bye power locks
sad that it comes to this

The finished product

Keep in mind these part numbers are for Black not tan.

I guess it looks clean
But i rather have my power locks
I plan on rewiring the power locks to the center console soon. But right now im just too lazy. I realize this will not even slow down a tow truck. But i hope it will stop the young kids who want my MaDD TyIGHT boost gauge. But i wanted to let all u power lock guys have another option to fight those stupid theives.

I'm putting on some RS bezels next week. Its a fairly easy security mod and not to expensive. If you want to save money, just cut the tabs off the existing switches and put some skateboard tape over the holes.

I agree. However, my local dealer wanted to charge me $20 for the bezels too. I was going to buy them from Len for $10 total, but shipping was going to kill me. I was able to find a dealer selling them for $7/piece and bought it from them.
If you want to buy them online, Acura Parts 24/7 only wants about $5 for each side.

I've got a set of RS door bezels sitting in my room (thanks John). I just need to figure out a constructive way to relocate the power locks. The power lock switch was on the center console on my Porsche back in the day. I'll probably end up doing something like that.

wiring it would be pretty straight forward as you could tap the wires under the dash as you would when installing an alarm.... sorry i can't be of any more help but i don't remember which wires exactly....
-Erik <--- who replaced door handles with sedan rear door handles... no keyholes...
looks clean, dunno if it helps anything...

you eliminated your power door locks? why don't you wire up a relay so when the key's not in, your power door locks don't work and when you turn your car on..they work fine

Now theres an idea.
Now theres an idea.
An another alternative is to dremel the power lock switch down. It is impossibleto unhook the lock with a clothes hanger, yet you can still unlock it with your fingers and keep theives from doing that trick.

my interior was stripped so door panels off.... remove the old door handle... put the new one on... the only thing that doesn't hook up right is the rod that goes to the lock... we just removed the rod from the lock and thus it wasn't an issue. my buddy did this swap while i was working under the hood so i'm not 100% sure about everything first hand but my friend is an idiot so if it was hard to do or if he ran into any problems i'm sure i would have heard something.
my car is in the process of being painted so i didn't paint them prior to installation but i would recommend getting them sprayed to match your paint prior to installation... easy to have done and cheap.... if you can get them already painted the factory color, even better.
Also... from another thread...

Right, the reason the pull out the whole thing is because it's easy to pry the handle assembly out, and then that gives them access to the lock rod. Pull on the lock rod and the door unlocks, then push on the other rod and it opens.
So if you replace the door handle with the rear handle, you can take out the lock rod altogether, and prevent this from happening.
Of course, you can remove the lockrod and keep the normal door handle (the key won't work anymore), but it looks nicer with the rear handles.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Hope that helps.... F@#% Theives

Though your locks may be disabled, a thief wouldn't know this. Therefore, thinking the power locks may still work, they may attempt a theft on the vehicle.

i don't think that seeing power locks or not seeing locks is going to stop a theif from attempting to break into your car. It's already easy enough to get into an integra anyway

You're probably correct. But doing this mod and re-routing the hood cable may deter amateur theives.

Cool post bout the RS handles
Thieves have attempeted to steal my cars on several occasions over the years.......most OD I got about security was with my old DA: 1.Multi-Lock transmission lock- bolts down to the frame through the shifter console with breakoff bolts and a multilock cylinder on a U-lock around the shifter in reverse,2. auto-lock to go around the clutch pedal while the shifter is locked in reverse, 3. Chapman hood lock with kill switch, 4. Clifford alarm with dual kill switchs,4. steering wheel club with metal cover and brace to keep people from unscrewing my steering wheel or cutting it, (one time I found my steering wheel in a drift 10 feet away from my car with the club still on it. All of this was on my one car......I **** you not, all my friends would laugh.......but short of sitting at my 15th floor window with a long range riffle all night long.....I had to do what I had to do. I just bought an RS and I was bumming bout not having power locks.....but you just gave me a positive spin on things
