Default IAC valve ..can it be removed on a 94 obd 1 teg correctly

i have a 94 obd 1 integra jdm... my IACvalve is bad and i was wondering if and how it can be removed and/or blocked sucessfully without normal performance interruption...i know on mustangs and american cars u can remove them and put a plate in place ...is there a way i can do this on my engine ? also will there be any adjustments/modifications needing to be done electrically or sensor wise for it to operate the same...any true help would be appreciated, thanks

to my knowledge, there is no way to put a plate over the holes and block it off. your car probably won't start if you do that.

It is just 2 12mm bolts that hold it on. Removal and installation is a piece of cake. Take it off, clean the screen on it, and put it back on. That might fix it. If not, you may have to replace it. If you do, i don't recommend going to an Acura dealer for it. Go to a Honda garage and get one for a 2000 civic si. its the same part. and they will charge half the price. atleast that's how it was for me.
