Default Transmission Fluid Leak?

*edit: im an idiot and titled the thread oil leak *

wasnt sure where to post this so im trying here. my friend's ford contour (just a car, not supposed to be cool ) has been leaking tranny fluid. i checked seals and everything and found the leak. it has a small crack, almost unvisible at the bottom of the trans case.

my question is, could this be spot welded? or would the whole trans case need to be replaced? thanks in advance!

If you get someone that knows how to weld good then yes it can more then likely be welded , jb weld might actually work for the time being also.

Yeah just drain all of the fluid, and JB weld will work quite well. Be sure to get the quick drying JB weld, if your bud wants to drive it the same day.

make sure you clean surface and scrape a little
so that jb weld would work...
