Slipstreams are on.
yellow dragon, they've been out in 15" 5 lug for a while now, its the 16's that are on order, should be coming out next month or so.

i am not 100% sure about this, but one way to tell the difference between a fake rota and a real spoon wheel is to look at the center of the wheel. rotas have holes between the bolt holes in the hub. on spoons, those holes are more oval.
i don't have pics... can someone post a pic of a rota center and a spoon center? hopefully what i'm saying will make more sense with visual aids...

Nope, the 5 lugs spoons have circles between the lug holes (15) no holes between the lug holes on 16". and they are the gunmetals, powdercoated flat black. black was not available when i went to order mine.

Well, the one advantage for Desmond owners on having alot of people buy the Rotas is this.
...the more Slipstreams are on the street, the less chance your wheels will be stolen. The thiefs will steal someone elses, thinking yours is just another set of fake $400 Rotas
The finish of an Anodized sw388 wheel is clearly evident compared to the black finish on the Slipstreams.
If the Slipstreams are 100% copy of the Desmonds with the exception that it's cast rather than forged, wont it be more succeptible to breaking? Forging gives it more strength a cast wheel can never have, so if the Slipstreams have the same thickness all around, you guys better be careful.

no offence but i think thet're ugly, very ugly, but they are light wight
I bet you if neither Spoon nor Mugen designed those rims, most people will say it's ugly.
IMO, the OEM gunmetals are the best looking rims for the ITR.
I couldn't agree more. I think since it was Spoon who made the original design, it just became a bad *** rim. Same goes for Mugen, now the Rota C8s are hot sell because of the Mugen.

people that buy spoon cause of the name are jackasses...matter of fact, anyone that buys anythign solely for the name is a jackass, its the same **** as those loser guys you know that are dipshits, and buy expensive clothes thinking it will get them friends...i think people like the sw388/slipstream cause its a classy black wheel...same goes for the mugen wheel/cp8 rota. people have their opinions...i think getting the slipstream is a very smart, intelligent choice to the spoon wheel, 1/4 of the price, same look...and if they get fucked up its not as big of a loss as having your 2k dollar spoon wheels stolen or cracked...if youre gonna go racing around a track all day, get spoon...if your gonna be racing around your neighborhood, with potholes and mud, filth, etc...get slipstreams...unless your an obsurdly rich 18 yr old kid...then do whatever your daddy lets you do...

Take a look at the pic below, Notice the engraving on one of the spokes

What's wrong with the engraving? Desmonds have them too, just in case you thought that is the way to differentiate the fake from the real.
