hey i am about to get get some new coilovers and i was wondering what else i am gunna need to install so they will work. i drive a '90 dx hatch and it already has some shitty old coilovers on it. thanks alot for your help please respond asap.

 

no new struts or anything?

 

are you getting true coil overs..or sleeves?

If your getting sleeves you can use your old shocks..unless they are blown or are not good enough for the new springs

 

im gettin coilovers. but when i asked a machanic i know, he said someshit about i had to get new struts for the new coilovers. and i would need a spring compressor to put them on. even though i already have coilovers on there.

 

you don't need a spring comressor,

and you would only need new shocks if there is something wrong with yours..

 

you won't need anything else but a simple set of ratchet/sockets and a torque wrench. Check the spring rates.....if they are too stiff then your stocks will definately not last very long......therefore ride and safety will suffer

 

are you running on stock struts now?
