94 Integra LS - Stock - 200,000km, where to start?
ok byes i have recently bought a integra a 94 ls, i want to start doing this beaut up, here's what im thinking about doing. need some advise!!
here's my plans:
Engine:
Header: Comptech 4-2-1 header
Intake: AEM Short Ram air intake
Exhaust:Tanabe Racing Medalian Exhaust
Exterior:
Rims: 17" Rota Subzeros
Color: Super Sonic Pearl Blue
Spoiler: ITR Wing
Kit: Bomex Body Kit/or JDM Conversion
Suspension:
Eibach Pro kit
since this car has 205,000km should i rebuild first?
im bringing it to get a compression test tommorrow morning.
im eventually planning on going turbo, what would be the best turbo to go with? Garrett t3/t4? Greddy?
also with the paint im going with im wondering how i can get a better shine, stronger shine, i've heard of making the flakes bigger not sure what that means, maybe some kind of a silver or metallic precoat or clearcoat? anyone know
I also heard when your going turbo you don't need a aftermarket header due to the spooling? is that right?
any help would be much appreciated, and yes i know the search is there i need some specific advise for my setup.

IMO, if you're planning to go turbo dont get the header or intake or exhaust...just save your money until you can afford a kit cuz when you get one, you will have to take off all that other ****. The body kit is a no go! If you have the money, go with the JDM conversion.

You have a LOT of research to do before you decide to go the FI route. I'm under the firm belief that if you don't know how a FI system works, can't install it yourself, and can't properly maintain it yourself, you shouldn't be running it.

i can see youre new at this...
why dont you just do the maintenance on the car and enjoy it before swapping everything out. you wont even know the difference if you get it all modded from day one.

lol, how this is so true. Well if your plans are boosting, then when you do your rebuild, might as well get forged internals. Read up in the FI forum and if you have the funds then go for it.
BTW if you're going turbo, then it would be a waste of money for you to get bolt-ons.

this is not happening over night , this is going to take a while before i get all this done, and the money to do it all, it's going to be a step by step process, the more i do the more i'll learn, gotta start somewhere, first im planning on getting the internals done, rebuild, new pistons, rods, whatever else is involved, i am relatively new at this i have never done a rebuild myself, i have installed a AEM CAI, fluids change, brakes and calipers replacement, normal maintainence, but nothing big like a rebuild. so with that said to let you know this will be all done by a tuner shop, im not doing it, i'll stick around and watch/help see what i can pick up, take in everything i can.

If you're still interested in picking up an ITR style wing, I've got a Wings West Type R Wing for sale.....$150. +shipping and you can have it....
just ask yourself how much money you want to put in. with all the mileage i would start replacing maintence items. have fun with the car and do alot of homework. some of us here have turned our once reliable honda/acuras into a blackhole of a money pit lol.
