i got into them in 90, when i started driving. i took a few years off when i started racing bikes (still had a crx though), then the mishap came where i was nicknamed "rodney". since 98 i have been going full bore into hondas again.
Bought my 1992 GS-R in 1995 when I was about to graduate highschool. My first
mod came soon after that (DC Sports DAC air elbow style intake). I soon got the Trust exhaust, a JG bigger throttle body, and the list goes on...

I started in 1989 with my first CRX Si (which was also yellow!). I put everything on it you could get at the time. I bought the "131" kit from Jackson racing which included new cams, a header and a Sebring exhaust. I also bought some Fittipaldi 5-star rims and had Yokohama A008Rs on it.
I also had 4 12" Orion subs in an isobarik enclosure in the back with two 8" mids and separates in the front, powered by 3 Orion amps running at 1 ohm. The sub amp alone put out 800 Watts. It thumped! I cracked the back window once from a TelArc CD that had pipe organ on it. That was waaay cool.
The only problem was that there was no "import" scene at the time - anywhere! I had the only done up Honda in my area (SW Ontario).
After that - I got into 4X4ing.

Stared June 24, 1991 when I bought the last Tahitian Green Civic Si available in SoCal from Gardena Honda.
Graduated to the ITR on November 19, 1999.
About to get my PhD. when I get the S2000 later this year

My first car (that I paid for). 1989 Integra LS 3Dr complete with DC header, custom exhaust, "modified" cat, HKS Powerflow, MSW 15x7 rims (gasp), Gude Street Cams, Gude TB, and Tokico Illuminas. I wish I could find that car today! I won't say the year, but this was back when SCC was a QUARTERLY rag!

do any of you remember the 1st SCC mag? I think it was a Ford Escort w/ American Racing (sp00n lookalike) 5 star rims w/ the 80's style scallop striping - jajajajajajjaa!!
yoshi - who regrets throwing away his back issues of SCC when he finished UCI

When people heard my car initially, their response was "I think you need a new muffler..." LOL That car surprised quite a few cars in its day and it would hang (although he would not admit it) with my Dads brand new in 94, 95 GS-R. Hondas, both motorcycles and cars, have been in my life for as long as I can remember (no jokes about memory fading after 30, which I just realized is around the corner) and I do believe they are the best all around cars in the world!

My R was my first import project ever. It seems like eevryone here has been with Honda's forever. I've gone through three Cobras and two Grand Nationals (Actaully me and my father), while driving my Honda Accord throughout the winter months. Never built the accored though.

I remember when the very first Super Street came out!(gasp)..they were giving them away at the NOPI Nationals...back in 1996? or 1997 I think...I believe it had a 92-93 Integra on the front.
Boy those were the days...when you could run a "Powered by Honda" sticker on your car and people though it was cool, not rice! hehehehe
