I need some 12:1 pistons and rings right away!
I'm so pissed, I just replaced the shortblock on my car and the fucken rings are shot. So I figure its time to upgrade to more compression, screw it.
I'm looking for CTR pistons stock bore for a Type R block. Does anyone know a shop that has them in stock? If not I guess JE 12:1's would do. I need the rings too. I need em ASAP! thanks

damn if you would have responded 5 minutes sooner I would have bought them off of you..
I just ordered from Mike K. Thanks anyway.
What do you think compression would be with a gsr head milled 20. 12.5:1?

ctr's in a gsr is like 12:1 max...does a .20 mill really up it more than 1 point?
I am sort of new to car tuning....
What will have to be done to strengthen the engine to handle a 13:1 compression ratio? I would think that a jump from 12.XX to 13 would be significant. Can he run 94 octane with that ratio or only race gas?
It just doesnt seem that the regular connecting rods, block, etc. can handle the extra pressure. Thanks for your answers in advance.

It can handle it fine assuming he doesnt have any detonation problems which
I suspect he will have without significantly higher octane.
