Default Help With K-Seires.......

Hello! My friend (from a different board) and I are trying to hook up his 03 Accord 4cyl. Auto. And another member from that board said that we can use parts issued for the RSX (which ever one has the KA24), just for the engine in his Accord. (Note: the 2003 Accord LX has the KA24). I was just wondering if this was true? If it is, what parts can be used? Perhaps turbo kits and such? Thank you for help in advance!

EDIT: If the answer happens to be yes, what trim of the RSX and year do I have to get parts from to fit it on the Accord with little or no modification? And if it is yes, do I just go to places that sell engine performance products for the RSX and trim and year you specified and buy that and put it on? Did you understand that? I'm just wondering if you did. Sometimes how I word things can make things seem like a unstructured sentence. Peace

Another EDIT: Okay, first of all, I was just researching and when I saw the KA24 it was all nissan. But, I know for a fact that the 2003 Accords have the K-series engines in them, correct? Do they perhaps have a K24A perhaps? Because, the engine in the accord is a 2.4 liter, 4-cylinder engine. I'm really getting confused.

Part 2 of Another EDIT: I just researched again for like the 50th time. I found that there is a K24 engine. Sorry, I haven't really been up to date with new Acura/Honda Engines. But if you could still answer the questions about using the same RSX (year/trim) Aftermarket Manufacture parts for his 2003 Accord.

Once again, I'M VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SORRY FOR THIS CONFUSION!

I think you're talking about the TSX. Rsx had 2.0 and Tsx has the k24..

Oh, so the 03 Accord has the TSX (K24) engine in it? So, can I find parts for the engine (K24) like pistons, cranks, cams, springs, etc..etc.. and maybe a turbo kit, and have it be for the TSX model, but still be able to fit the Accord?

The Accord, CR-V and TSX all have K24s in them. I don't know all the differences between the 3, other than the TSX is 200 HP and the Accord and CR-V are 160. I think the TSX has higher compression and a few other things tweaked in the variable timing.
Sorry I can't help too much, I would think some parts made for the TSX would fit the Accord. Bolt ons probably fit (but probably not the exhaust), but I'd look into differences in the computers and the VTEC system to find out just how compatable some things are.

:search button is your friend:

accord = k24 with 3 valve vtec
TSX = K24 with RSX-S "like" vtec

At the moment Skunk2 is producing thier drag car which has a k24 bottom end with a k20a head. So you may want to check out skunk2 for more information on this topic.
Good luck.
