Default can you anodize or powdercoat and intercooler??

Can you get a intercooler powdercoated or anodized black without effecting its performance??

well you can powdercoat the endtaks only
but anadized would be the way to do

i used to powdercoat/anodize/paint steel at my old job. the overall finish of anodizing is 100x better then paint when it comes to durability and finish.

Anodized would be the least likely to hurt performance of the intercooler. Painting it would be slightly worse but as long as you apply it very thin and only to the faces of the fins it shouldnt be a major problem.

remember to spray it at an angle toward the fins if you decide to paint.

Anodising forms a thicker layer of alloy Oxide.

Alloy oxide is a ceramic, very hard wearing and an isulator, would make it far less efficient, best thing to do is paint a thin layer of black paint to help it radiant heat away if you want to colour it at all.
