I'm picking up a VIS CF hood this weekend. The seller told me it's the version without a built-in latch. I did all the searching, but I still feel I need more education before I pick it up. How hard will it be to transfer my stock latch over? Are there any steps I should take during the switch that would make the latch stronger? I'm against hood pins (for cosmetic reasons), so if it came down to it, I'd take the stock hood over theCF hood w/ pins.

 

if he has had the hood on his car it more than likely has already been drilled for hood pins, so even if u did convert your latch your going to have wholes in ur hood.

 

it's never been mounted.

 

If it is made for no center latch then basically you need hoodpins, end of story.
