i was thinking about dropping a jgm gsr motor in a civic shell, any ideas on what model shell, i know the year of the shell has to be the same year or older for smog reasons, so i was thinkin about a 95 engine, thanks for the help...or criticism, which im sure ill get.

It's lighter. You can use a CX too they weight the same they just came with different motors and wheels

 

ohhh ok, what if i wanted a reg civic instead of a hatch, any ideas there?

Doesn;t really matter. Weight wise the lightest one will be the one with the least amount of electrical toys (Power locks and Power Windows) and no sunroof. Gues that woudl be a DX
