Default AEM V2 vs AEM CAI at the track (same car)

First of all: I'm in Puerto Rico so all #'s are extremly high when you compare with US's #'s. Ex 15.0@92(PR) = 14.7@95(US)
Ok, finally I have the result of the comparison of my RSX-S:

15.4@91.9, 10.1@72 = 1/8 2.6=60" (BONE STOCK)
15.5@90 10.1@72 = 1/8 2.5=60" (AEM V2)
15.2@93 9.9@74 = 1/8 2.5 =60"(AEM CAI)
So my conclusion AEM V2 maybe show good result in the dyno but at the track is different, maybe because our weather doesn't help the performance of V2.

This weekend I'm going to the dyno with AEM CAI but with AEM V2 it pull 172whp 127 torque 2 weeks ago.

Anyone with same experience?

did you only run each once? if youre only running each once i dont think its fair to judge an intake on one pass at the strip. also those 60 ft times arent too great, although consistent, all the times are within a couple tenths of each other. im guessing its more driver error/inconsistency than just the car.

Yeah those times suck pana its understandable cause of the weather very hot and cars dont hook up that well

Ok,
I went two different days with each mods:
2 dif days bone stock 15.4 to 15.7
2 dif days AEM V2 15.5 to 15.9
2 dif days AEM CAI 15.2 to 15.4

Each day I ran 4 + times

So my conclusion still valid AEM V2 sux in PR weather and conditions.

TOV did an article about the V2 on the Si, where AEM's statement was pretty much that the v2 was designed to be used in conjunction with other performance goods, such as a header and exhaust.

There are too many variables at the track that could affect your time to determine the gains of a power mod. 3 runs are not enough to determine which is better, 10 aren't either. There are just oo many variables when you go to the track that will change your results.

If you read a previous post it said that I ran like 8 different times with each mods (Stock, V2 and CAI) and I also went two different days to see if is the day but same results.

How is it even possible to cut a 2.6 60 ft in your car? Are you just flooring it, dumping the clutch, and bouncing off the rev limiter till the car finally catches?

No, the problem is the track, if you ask somebody else from PR he can tell you the same thing that I'll tell you about Carolina Race track in Puerto Rico, all the cars(without slicks) have problems in the 60's. I know that if I ran 2.3 in 60 the final result wil be better. My friend have another RSX-s with Hondata, Injen CAI, Hondata intake gasket, header, suspension, exhaust and he ran 14.4@97 with 2.58 in 60'.

I went from a aem cai to the V2 also and am very happy with it? I felt a noticable difference in midrange to redline. IMO
