Dirt Stockers like low pressures. In fact, I've heard of drivers going as low as 16psi on them. I think we run around 20.

Alex, what do you guys run?

oh wow. I never ran on them before, and also don't remember the exact pressure. But I'm sure we have it set to quite a bit higher than that. Thanks a lot for the input, I'll definitely take a close look next time and most likely drop the pressure.

And be sure it is WET out there when you are racing the Dirt Stockers!!!! I was at a BMW Club race, which started in heavy rain. The Big Bore Fast cars were running and most of them ran the Dirt Stockers. Well, halfway thru the race it stopped raining and dried up; The front runners were intentionally running offline; I mean they were running offline in order to run through the puddles at the edges of the track! I later talked to some of them and they told me that the Dirt Stockers will totally melt down if you drive them hard for any length of time on drying pavement.

later,
Todd

Alex... You're in for a treat. They're awesome rain tires. The first time I used them, I couldn't believe how much grip they had.

Todd... You're right about it being wet. The last ProIT race at Road Atlanta started wet, then went dry. You could tell which cars where running Dirt Stockers because, in the corners, you could see chunks of tire flying off!! As soft as they are though, I've used mine all season (it won't stop raining!) and they've held up very well.
