MPFI swap possible on an auto?
I know a lot of people are going to say don't do it, it's a waste, etc... but I got a beater car that is going to be purely a beach car, as in surf racks welded to the top, spray painted, etc. But a DX is just tooooooooooo slow! I know the parts I need, but all the MPFI ECU's are 5 speeds - is there any way to modify a PM6 ECU to worth with an auto? I've been checking ebay pretty commonly over the last couple of months for an auto si ECU to come up, but havent seen one pop up
what would you guys recommend in this situation?

yea the only way to do an mpfi swap on a auto obd0 car is to use a 90-91 ex auto. maybe you can convert to obd1 and use an auto dx ecu which might be a little easier (but more expensive)

anyone else know if this is true? I've always been told otherwise...

What are you talking about? Yes they do. It's not a SEPERATE ECU like maybe GM's have on some cars maybe. Honda ECU's have the auto stuff built right into the main ECU - the manual one will not control the auto tranny.
