Default Mixed up stories need truth about Distributer Q's

I asked this yesterday about using a z6(obd1) dist or my stock dx (obd0) dist for my vtec head. On the website http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/sohcvtec.html , it says
For Si/DX option 1, you can wire the SOHC VTEC distributor to the old wiring harness, and retain the ability to advance and retard the timing at the distributor. Or you can use a drill to make the 88-91 distributor fit the 92-95 motor, and probably lose the ability to adjust the timing. Now to me that means i can splice the wires of the z6 dist and match them to my old dx harness? keep in mind i did a MPFI swap and im running pm6 ecu. Thx people

Are you going to convert to obd1 or stay obd0?

Staying obd0 means you have to use an Si dizzy, you cant use the Z6 one. Just make the openings in the dist. tabs a lil fatter(from top to bottom) and you still will have full adjustment.
