suspension bushings have nothing to do with the ball joint boot
and yes you can use a pickle fork but if you rip a boot you will have to buy a new one and re pack the joint with grease.
a pitman arm puller works very well but they cost quite a bit more than a pickle fork
also you must bleed your brakes after doing this (common sense) but i will tell you right now, when you upgrade your calipers your brakes will SUCK unless you also upgrade your Master Cylinder and Brake Booster and for that you will need a INVERTED FLARING TOOL (so whenyou put the larger fitting on the line you can re flare the line so it will seal)
this is a job for a person with a good bit of knowledge of how the brake system functioons and how to diagnos it.
i would definately reccomend having someone that has done this before help you or pay someone to do it for you, because the last thing that you want to fail is your brakes.
