Default Seat brackets wont line up...bolting alternative??? Please help!

Okay the Si seats i have in my 88 Dx never fit right and since i had the car were only held in by 3 bolts each. They were very hard to move forward and back and the passenger side seat was actually stuck. After taking some bolts off i realized that they were bolted cruked. I moved the rails adn aligned them so the seat will slide but now i can't get 2 of the bolts back in because the holes are off. I can't just force them in or i will be back where i started with an unmovable seat. Has anyone every used metal screws to just screw into the floor? or any kind of metal sinkers?

Please Help! and I thank you in advance!

Vince

Use 88 seat rails. they are different than 89-91.

I'm pretty sure 88-89 are the same. I had the EXACT problem you have. I got 90-91 SI seats and rails, I ended up using my 88 DX rails and drilling new holes into the seats and bolting down. I would probally easier to use 88 dx rails. IF you have 90-91 si seats I don't think 88-89 si rails will bolt up straight either,

They must be 89 because i know they aren't 90-91...my si seats dont have red stitching like my friends. I looked under the seats and the rails on there now were welded on...just looks like they weren't welded on right! I found a thread where someone drilled through the floor and through the underbody and put a bolt all the way through with a washer so it could be tightened from under the car. Seems like what i might end up doing.

I'm also looking at either getting my seats re-upholstered with leather or buying a new set of something nice...rsx/gsr/type r/newer si? i dunno haven't done to much research...but if i stick with these seats i have to work something out...

i wished i had thought to drill into the seats and not the floor!

I've got 90-91 Si seats in my 88dx. I am using the 88 inner seat rails and the 90-91 si outer rails.
Inners bolt up to the original holes, but for the outers I drilled thru the floor, used some washers, and 1/4" thick steel backing plates. It's not loose or anything, but if I could do it over I'd try the drill into seat mod.
here's 90-91's from the si hatch, but i assume crx one's are the same, well minus the chunk missing from mine

Another difference could be if you have Si hatch seats going into a crx. Or vice versa I know that the rails are different in crx than hatch.
