Default Attn. H22 Tuners!!! Need help quick!!!

I need to know what kind of valves you guys recommend. Also when it comes to cams and valvetrain. What kind of headwork does the H22 head need done. It is going out tomorrow so I have to order parts and let them know what needs to be done to my head. Thanks in advance!

Also, I want to mill the head a little bit. 20 to 30 thou is safe right?

you might want to look into gettin your block milled instead, my head is milled hella but the auto tensioner only goes so far and i my timing belt flaps against the lower cover. honda heads are already pretty short, 2 cents

From everything that I've seen, Crower makes the only good cams right now. So basically get some Crower Stage II or III depending on how streetable you want it. Also get the Crower valves and springs. Get the head milled to .25. This combined with Port & Polish and 3-5 angle valve job should net you some impressive gains. Not to mention you have a civic. Go to http://www.Importreview.com to see some H22a apps with just milling .25 and bolt ons got about 190 to the wheels.

I wouldn't mill the head OR the block more than you HAD to for the same reason that squirrelmasta mentioned. That happened to me and it took a little thinking to eliminate that flap.

Squirrel: if you would like to rid yourself of that, IM me and I'll tell you a secret that helped me. My belt was flapping back when I was running high 13's, and it was retarding my timing on the top end killing my power. If you're fast now, keeping that belt tight will only make it faster!
