Default Functionally, how low is too low?

I just got my car back on the ground with Koni Yellows and Eibach Pro-Kit springs. My K-Member is sitting five inches from the ground and I seriously do not feel like switching anything out.

How low do you guys think its safe to be from the ground and still be able to drive on the street?

I think it's a personal preference thing. I have friends that slam the **** out of their cars, and others who just lower it a tad, and EVERYTHING in between, and they all swear it's the best.

Personally, I'd say you're too low if you're scraping a lot while driving on public roads.

It all depends on your driving habits. Where you go, number of speed-bumps, etc. I, for instance, live on a road with ONE way in/out, and there are 4 speed bumps between the exit and my house. So TOO low for me means anything lower than what I'm at, which is about a half inch of space between my wheels and fender.

lower Cg will handle better , untill you run out of suspension travel , or run into bind issues with drivetrain components.

I run a 2 finger gap all around on both my cars , one is track only, one is the beater and goes on track as well

im 5 inches off the ground in front, i think 2 finger wheel gap all around, no problems, just have to take it slow in and out of driveways, and try to avoid potholes.

From what I'm hearing I'll be ok... But I took a few pictures anyway to give yo an idea of what I'm talking about. (The Tires on the front are off my brothers V6, he had to borrow mine until we fixed his flat, which we did)

In the first picture it looks like I really shouldn't have any problems.

But here is where I'm worried.

And please.. No "This is a Honda Forum" "Mustangs Suck" "Why are you posting here"

I'm asking for your advice, not your opinion.

Thanks a bunch so far! I'm feeling better.

You should be just fine ... You are high enough to pass over some of the worst speed bumps IMO !

I think that you have more than enough ground clearance

Your mustang has way more ground clearance than my civic did stock! You'll be fine!

When you're this low, start worrying....

I can't really drive this low, this is my clearance when it's all the way raised:

Sorry for whoring up your thread, I was bored.

i am four inches of the ground. im on koni yellows and kgmm springs. also, debris on the road could easily damage a lowered cars front bumper easily. there is more sacrifice in driving a lowered car. profiling, steep speed bumps.

here is a price i paid for my car being to low going up the driveway.

Badass! I love those rims!!! (Always had a thing for 96 GSRs )

sicc83 - How the hell could you DRIVE like that

Eh2 to Ap1 - How much did you drop that?? I gotta remember never to get a Lip My driveway is twice as worse as yours...

I was mainly worried because my car used to be so tall, I could crawl under it if I needed to at the track. Now its hard for me to reach my arm under there to plug in my O2 sensors. It was just ALOT more of a drop then I expected and I freaked a little
