HELP! LOWERING 98 ACCORD w/ 18" chrome rims....
I'm not familiar with what's needed to lower my 1998 Honda Accord Sedan. I got some 18'" chrome rims, and just aint happy with how the gaps are looking. What do I need to lower it. Does it just require new coil springs, or do I also need to get a new set of shocks. Here's what I am looking at:

What are some good brands to look for, prices? Basically what am I getting myself into? Thanks in advanced. I'm a ROOKIE at this, so I'd appreciate all the feedback I could get.
I'm hoping my car will look something like this when done:

To lower your accord you will need springs or coilovers.. I would recommend getting aftermarket struts when you put on the springs.

I'm not so sure that coilovers would be a good choice. They seem to be really bouncy and do do a whole lot for ride quality.
I would research Sprint or Eibach springs. If you want to improve the ride quality, try checking out Tokico or AGX aftermarket struts.
The best prices that you'll find will probably be on Ebay, sad enough.

So a TOKICO HP SHOCKS & SPRINGS set would work, and lower my car? Thanks for all the help. I'm not familiar with all this stuff..

I lowered my 98 with the Tokico shock and spring set. And I'm happy with the ride quality and it corners good but the front end has dropped way lower then the 1.5 the box says. Everything was installed right but I just thought I'd let you know. Maybe this isnt very common.
In the end it cost me 150 for the springs thats for just the Hr sports, installation was free for me, but otherwise would have cost me 60 bucks.
The alignment ran another 50 bucks after i was done. Thats it if ur talking about rims and tires then thats another expensive story, i go through tires quite quickly.
Car looks a bit different nwo though, i really should take some new pics
