Default H22'ers LOOK!(Suspension) Lets get some feedback....

I am lookin for some springs or coil-overs. GCC has a Coil-over kit w/ custom spring rates(400F/300R) for the EG civic/H22 set-up. Price they gave me is 339.00. Progress Group makes a spring kit also with custom rates(375F/200R) for 155.00. I will be runnin KYB AGX gas adjustables, I'm thinking the rates on the GCC will be the better set-up. Let me know what you guys(or ladies) think!!

YOu might want to call the KYB-AGX manufacturers and see what they recommend as the highest spring rates. Most likely with a 400f/300r setup your fronts will be underdamped and thus have a greater impact on wearing your front shocks out.

I know my Koni shocks are rated (from Koni at least) for up to 400lbs/in springs. I would doubt that the KYB's are rated that high.

By the way, if you are underdamped you'll have a noticeable "bouncy" feeling.

When I get my 22 in, i plan on putting 350f/375r from GC, on my Koni's.

I'm using custom GC's with 400lb rates on all 4 corners. I've got KYB AGX's up front with the regular KYB's in the rear. Everything is great on it, I've had this setup for awhile now.

You don't notice any "bouncyness" in the ride?

Im runnin GCC with h22 rate springs in front on stock struts and i dont have hardly any "bouncyness." Only when i hit a severe amount of bumps in the road, then it gets a little bouncy.

Exactly. When you hit a large bump or a lot of little bumps in a row it's going to get a little "bouncy". But for the most part my ride is nice and stiff.

I have read that Tein SS with Integ spring rates rides nice with the h22 in a hatch.

I cant confirm this though, cuz I havent rode in a hatch with this setup...

Hope this helps you some what

Hmm, Maybe my perception of "bouncyness" is different then yours. All I know is, I would not want to ride on anything with 250+ with a stock shock.

200 in the rear is not nearly enough. I like the ground control idea better. Or go with a custom 350 front/375 rear.

If its even the slightest bit bouncy, you have a problem.

I know a lot of people with lowered cars the handling is actually worse than stock, but of course it feels much stiffer. Riding on your bumpstops feels awfully stiff.

I like to watch the cars go over bumps or even pull into a parking lot, I can tell a lot about the car and the driver just by watching the bound/rebound. And I just laugh and laugh.

Struts are so underrated... and so much more important than springs IMO. I'd venture to say I'd take you in the corners on stock springs if you let me choose my struts w/out budget constraint, than if you got to pick your springs but stick to the used stock struts.
