Hey I just finished my B16 swap, and the car runs great...except that while driving the CEL will flash intermittantly fairly frequently, almost like it's keeping time or something, comes on when I hit bumps, accel, decel, kinda weird, i think it's a ground...but I'm not sure...

 

have you tried checking the ecu for any LED flashes?

 

Yeah, the ECU isn't actually throwing a code...but the CEL keeps flashing on and off while I'm driving, car runs great though...I went through last night and checked all my grounds, found that 2 injector clips were missing so I replaced those and made sure all connectors were tight, adjusted idle(because it was sitting at 1500 to 2000 rpms). I really need to find out what's causing this, because I have a track event this weekend I don't want to miss...

 

Yes thats odd you are getting a CEL with no codes being thrown. You can check the obvious and see if the wire for that is shorting out to something.

 

Wire for what? the CEL? I honestly don't know where to start finding that...I went over everything like I said last night...still no luck...is it possible that all the fiddling we did in the past few days(3 different ECU's one was bad one was a PM6 and the one in it currently has an aggressive fuel curve) The motor threw 3 different codes with the other ECU's and with this one, and since the last code, it has only been stopped and restarted...should I disconnect the battery to reset the ECU?

 

Yes I would recomend that. Any valid error codes will return.

 

Any other ideas on what it could be???
