Default JDM ITR 4-1 Header

I just installed a JDM ITR 4-1 header, but it feels like it is losing some torque...
I don't know if it gained on the top end but VTEC sounds louder however I can't feel any difference... LOL

Can someone who has the above header clarify this? Will I see any gain later, coz my friend said that the ECU will adjust itself?

Thanks

Go do a before and after dyno and see the gains for yourself. just because your car sounds or feels different isn't a good judge of power.

yes it was replacing the stock 4-2-1 Australian ITR header...

actually the 4-2-1 header was modified...
I asked an exhaust shop to remove the restriction (just after the 2-1, there is a tapering pipe decreasing in diameter and then increasing to normal size just before the flange) <= I removed that and the small flange

It gained noticable mid range and a little bit on the top end.

BUT there is not much difference with the new JDM 4-1 header, except for the sound at VTEC

I'll try resetting the ECU anyway

thanksssssss

I'll pay you 100 for that lousy header.

Butt dyno's suck 90% of the time.

Of course you're going to lose out on torque with a 4-1 header. The gains will be in top end HP whereas a 4-2-1 header gives you better torque.

This generalization is almost always not true....
