I've been looking for an engine to put in my Civic HB CX for a while...so far the best deal I can find is...

USDM -- LS/VTEC , hydraulic clutch tranny, with DC headers installed for $2300

How does that sound to everyone else? I'm just getting into this and live in Illinois (not much here to compare to). Let me know what you think and if possible...what kind of 1/4 you think it would run.

 

2300 is really cheap so for i put 5300 into mine and it still ain't running need a clutch

 

Price sounds fine but there are so many variables.....installer, supplier, parts used, shop rep, etc......some more details and there will be some more opinions.

 

Right now the details arent all there...
I just stopped by my local shop and haggled a bit to see what I was dealing with. He is a good guy...hooked me up with deals on my rims/NOS/coilovers/ect so I trust him a lot. He seems more into the customer than profit. They're goingto be doing the installation...they do good work and are very knowledgeable. the parts will be used but not too much. I told him I dont want anything with more than 40K on it.
I was really just wondering if this was a a good deal overall...

 

i've got mine done around the same price.. but it was p72GSR head,GSR tranny,ECU.. and all the hardwares needed to complete the swap in.. it should be around 2000+ for the swap to be done pretty well...
