Hey guys..
I´m planing to build a new transmission for my b20/v-tec turbo engine. I´ve already a 95 Integra LS transmission (S80) but there are some parts missing like the shift forg and a complete counter shaft with gears. The case is complete...
Now I want to know if it is possible to put the 2 gear shafts of a USDM 90-93 Integra cable transmission( S1/YS1 ) into the hydraulic tranny case. I want to have very long gear ratios thats the reason why I want to install these gears. I know it would be much easier to install the complete cable transmission but I don´t want a cable one ..I want a hydraulic tranny.
Whats about the LSD. I also want to buy a quaife LSD. I don´t know for what kind of car... Integra LS 94+ or 90-93 USDM????´
Thanx for your help
If anybody has better ideas about to getting longer gear ratios please tell me.

To begin with, the 2nd gen integras came with 2 very different transmission designs. The 92-93 cable trans is the only one with internals like the newer hydro box; the 90-91 internals will not be compatible. So, the YS-1 is the transmission you want to check out as a possible swap candidate.
What I would do next is check out http://www.acuraparts247.com, which will give you the part #s along with diagrams of the various gearboxes. Compare #s and see what's the same - lots of things will be. I know the newer internals will go in the 92-93 case, as I have swapped a hydro GSR gearset and Type-R LSD into a 92 case myself, so I assume the older gears would work in the newer case as well.
I would be careful mixing gears, though - the safe way is to use both the main and counter gear from one trans for each pair unless you're sure they are the same (part # comparison).
The quaife you'll want to check out is the 92+ LS model (they should be the same 92 and up; GSR is different). And you'll *need* the Helm manual.
Also, I've got lots of extra parts from my swap if you need anything.
