im looking for some new seats for the R, and i was wondering if my stock seatbelt will work with aftermarket seats. none of the seats ive seen have seatbelt clips in the pictures. can i attatch my stock belt clips to the aftermarket seats? jw before i go out an buy some that i wont be able to drive with. thanks.

so i guess what the real question is, is should i take my stock seatbelt clips off before i sell the seats? also, does anyone know if sparco brackets will work with stock belt clips?

 

Depends on what seats. They'll work just fine with Recaro SRD's and Sparco Torino's and Milano's, but not any of the seats with high side rails that require the use of harnesses where the lap belt can feed through the side rails.

 

i don't think you can take the seatbelt clip off of the stock R seats. just invest in a rollbar and harnesses or visit http://www.sandmracing.com/, go to the mods and look under interior mods for the sparco evo seats. he used the clip from an older car.

 

Most of the jdm rails have the seat belt clips. My vision rails have em. And I use my stock belt with my fixed back seats. You just have to make sure that the side bolster isn't taller than your lap is sitting. If they are too tall the seat belt will ot be resting on your body and in an accident will not work properly.
