I'd go with the B16. Much more reliable, plus u can slowly build up ur motor to be al most as fast as a d16 turbo. Plus it's a lot more badass to be all motor in my opinion. B16 definetely. that's just me though. What year civic u puttin it in?

First off, I'd like to point out the fact that you said "almost as fast as a d16 turbo"
turbo wins
Second, if he wants some serious all motor power. he needs a lot more money. on the other hand, if he wants more boosted power, he just has to turn up the boost.
turbo wins
Third, b16 all motor= limited potential, as goes with any all motor setup. turbo on the other hand will go as far as your tuner will let it.
turbo wins
Last, if he wanted to go all motor, why a b16? in terms of all-motor, the basic principle is displacement. and lots of it. but the basic principle of turbo is boost which is far easier to come by than displacement. ( stroking, boring..etc)

if you are going all motor get a b18b or b18c or bigger, b16s dont have as much potential as the bigger B series motor, besides d16s come a dime a dozen so you can replace easily and for those that say turbo d's arent reliable, then they aren't doing enough research.
Ive seen 95% of D series Boosted hatches running from low to high 13's with a basic GReddy kit and some fuel managent. I hate the lack of tq out of the B16 also. I didnt keep my B16 very long .
ahhhh another one of these threads!! it seems to me that almost everytime someone asks about swap or turbo d16, the vast majority votes turbo. me personally, i vote turbod16. why? do some searches and look at track times and whatnot. it dont take much for these motors to run nice times once boosted
Yeah man I love Jack ..Been playin his stuff for a few years now. Anyhow ...You can pick up your basic Intercooler Greddy kit with FMU/Inline pump from 1k to 2k. Not that expensive if your going for 13's outa a D series! Good luck man. You'll love it
