Default Looking for an exhaust.

I'm having a hard time deciding which exhaust to go with. So far I got an AEM intake and Toda header that are waiting to be installed in the spring. I want an exhaust that matches up well with the Toda header I called Toda to see which model they recommend but they were not much help.

I've been looking at the Spoon N1 and the T1R exhausts. My main goal is something that performs well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

T1R looks great, performs exceptionally(+15 whp gain with test pipe), sounds very nice and finally, its very affordable(only 600 bucks).

if you are made of money, i would go for the best and get the amuse r1000. 80mm piping and drop-dead gorgeous looks. if you are worried about emissions, get the amuse r1. its quieter, utilizes the catalytic convertor and has a resonator.

take a look at spugen exhaust systems. they make power and are not redicously priced for their Ti can setups.

The INVIDIA looks sweet, is obnoxiously loud for what it does, almost nothing. The R1000 is LOUD too, but I don't think it buzzes as much as the Invidia, I love the sound if you can stand driving it on street.

I had a Spugen single (singles are the ones that actually make power). It was SS piping + some kind of magnaflow muffler. I lost power. It didn't sound that good either.

I'm back to stock for now. I'll probably get an R1 though. I've heard some things about the Speed Ti, I'm wondering what it looks like..

If you serious power gains then single will be your choice cuz there's no way that dual exhaust will make more power than any singe exhaust.

I could be wrong, but the Amuse R1000 is almost the lightest but makes the most power on the market. There's this JDM Magnaflow Ti cat-back one available right now that weighs in at 7lb

edit: makes the most NA power

That link would be awsome!!! Hearing all of these exhausts would definitely help out.

The T1R weighs 24.5lbs including the test pipe.

On a back to back dyno with the stock exhaust and cat, the T1R setup got a 12whp increase at the peak and an overall much fatter power band.

Plus, it sounds WICKED in VTEC while droning less than even my previous Amuse dual.

I'm using the T1R right now.

It is relatively inexpensive, sounds wicked, and gives excellent gains.

Contact A&J Racing for more info.

Droning refers to the resonance of the exhaust echoing inside the cabin. Resonanace doesn't mean loud, but it makes your ears bleed.

Thanks for the post. Were these gains with or with out the test pipe? Ans if it is with the test pipe what kind of gains could you expect with the cat installed?

The comparison was between cat/stock exhaust and T1R test pipe/exhaust.

The test pipe doesn't make a huge difference.

So has it been proven that a single aftermarket exhaust has better WHP gains than getting an aftermarket dual exhaust? (Do they even offer an aftermarket dual exhaust setup?)

If i where to change exhaust systems, does any manufacture offer a single exhaust that comes out at an angle w/ a titanium tip?
