does a obd1 94-95 gsr p72 ecu have a Knock Sensor reading?

Default does a obd1 94-95 gsr p72 ecu have a Knock Sensor reading?

i need to know if the obd1 94-95 p72 ecu will read a Knock Sensor cause i dont have one. and i really need to know before i buy a ecu for my ls-vtec

Yes, the stock P72 ECU will look for a knock sensor. If you chip with a program (like the Mugen program), then you can eliminate the use of the knock sensor and still utilize all of the ECUs features.

Man I know this is old but this search is just coming up with same topic of fixing knock sensor codes. I am doing a b16a block with 98 gsr head and 94 gsr stock IM I already have a chipped p28 but am told to use a p72 for the IAB's. Then been told the p28 can be chipped to run the obd1 gsr IM IAB's though no response to what program I should be looking for. If I do find this "program" for my p28 would I find any problems with not having the knock sensor hooked up? Do I even benefit at all from this sensor.
