Default Removing windshield washer squirter components and system

car-2000 civic coupe

Problem- When i went to fill up my windshield washer fluid today , i noticed there was a crack in the reservoir. So since i plan on buying a carbon fiber hood without the holds for the squirters, i am planning on just pulling out the reservoir, lines and all the other things that go along with it.

what do you guys think i should do? should i take it out or just leave it with the cracked reservoir or replace the reservoir. Also where is the windsheild washer pump located is it actually located on the reservoir or inside the reservoir. Because i noticed these little DENSO things attached to the side of the reservoir.

sorry this post is so long, But are they any pointers on how to tackle this job or is it straight foward?

thanks for any help guys

i want it too look like this, notice the removal of the windshield washer stuff along with a little nifty block-off plate

benen hatch

The pump is on the filler jug thingy . All you do is unbolt a few 10mm's ..Rip out the lines and your done.

ps. I want some "Go Fast !" Stickers

I'd replace the res. and get a window cowl from a integra (the plastic trim that goes under the windshield wiper arms) they have squirters in them... that way you don't lose function but the hood looks cleaner.

*EDIT*
Forgot you had a 2000... this is the EG section...

not sure if any of the acura's or other honda's have cowl squirters that will fit yours... you could probobly do it custom if you felt comfortable doing that.
