Default engine rattle

I bought a 1999 Accord Ex sedan (Honda certified) about five months ago.... it has since developed a (somewhat quiet) rattle in the engine on acceleration... nothing big. What could this be? My old (1988) accord did this too, but it was old. Do you think it could be something covered by the pre-owned certified warranty?

Thanks
Chris

I thought a constant ticking persues a valve problem.... (tick tick tick tick, etc.) this is more just a rattle that only lasts a few seconds during accelaration... Someone told me to try using a better gas station's gas...

Any thoughts?

thanks

all accords and maybe civics have this. its the rough idle caused by a poor distributor. someone told me it is a friction gear, but this was from a probe guy, so i would need a second opinion. as far as after the car is warm and upon acceleration, definetly something in the exhaust, either a heat sheild, or loose bolt holding up the cat, or mufflter or something.

Gotta describe the noise and circumstances a bit better? Could be pinging? Detonation? Or does it surely sound like a metal part shaking?

+1 Had the same problem on both accords. Easy fix with a metal hose clamp (but much larger).
