Default Mr. Gasket Exhaust cutout

Does anybody know a for sure answer to this. Some people say that the exhaust cut out won't work for OBD2. Does anyone have a for sure answer in regards to this? Thanks

well, it'd be kind of hard to put on on the rsx b/c you'd have to put the cutout before the cat in order to benefit from it at all, and unfortunately, the primary 02 is in the cat, so you'd throw a primary 02 sensor failure code, and your car would run horribly rich all the time.

i've been getting conflicting info on this as well..... i wanted to replace my cat with a straight pipe and cutout.... this would obviously throw a code for the 2nd o2 sensor...... the question is: what happens when that code is thrown?

The Mr. Gasket system sucks, I guess Quicktime Performance makes an electric cut out that is much better,

Their cutout is called the QTEC. Check it out. I'd say it should work quite well. I've heard nothing but good from them.
