Default Digital Gear Indicator

Does anyone have one of these installed on their bikes? If so, does it perform well, is it quick and accurate? or a waste of cash? I think it would be a useful product for me as sometimes i'm searching for a 7th gear on the freeway. Here is a link.

They work but Im a budget racer....just count the gear aloud until you get really good at knowing what gear youre in. When I go to new tracks I still do it until I learn it well.

that's a good point. To develop true skills, I would suggest using as few tools/gadgets as possible. That said, I've grown w/ the habit of counting. When given a digi counter to use it worked as it was supposed to but only confirmed what I already knew. Course you never have a chance to look at it on the track, I'd assume this would be for street use when daydreaming
