Default What is this car worth?

OK, I'm a n00b, but I have found this car for sale and have found this website and it seems very informative! I am just wondering what something like this is worth:

1995 Honda Del SOL. 96K on the body 50k on the motor. Has a GSR motor/tranny out of a I think 96 model GSR. Motor and tranny have 50k on them. Has the GSR ecu, drive axels, everything on it, whole swap. Nothing really wrong with the body. Has some decent looking 17" wheels on it and runs well. Interior looks good, has a Sony cd player. Top doesn't leak, etc.

-what about is this car worth?
-what model motor is this? b18?

THANKS in advance!!

I'd drive the car and make sure that there are no check engine lights or any other problems.

I'd look for a local shop with a good reputation in swaps and have them check out the car BEFORE you buy it.

The general rule for pricing IMO would be:

Fair market value for the chassis (look it up on http://www.kbb.com) + about $2,500.00 or so for the swap.

Yes the swap probably costed more like $3,500.00, but when you sell ahybrid you almost always take a hit on the swap and the labor costs are given away for free.

Pretty sure his initial post said it was "from a GS-R" so I'm assuming he means it's a B18C1.

I don't know the exact model number of the motor, I'll find out.

I'm going to say that whatever the blue book price is is what you should offer. I hate to say it, but none of the mods any of us do to the car raise the value one cent to 90% of people out there.

Use your deduction skills Watson. GS-R = B18C1.

He already stated that and so did I bro.

Ouch.. it depends on what mods are done and to what car.. altezza lights etc would probably lower the value in most minds however a car done right would be worth more than book retail. The older 4th gen civic hatches and 2nd gen CRX's are doing really well right now. I would not pay an additional $2500 for a del sol with a b series swap in it though.. would be a lot more than what something similiar is going for right now with just a swap and no other work...

do you want the del sol for the looks for racing? Its nice to go topless during the summer but its pretty heavy! If you want the car for racing find a freaken 93-95 hatch with a GSR motor in it. You'll do better with it in terms of racing.
