something inside the cv boot disconnected and won't go back into place
alright i'm trying to put the driver side axle in, and something inside the cv boot is not wanting to go back into place. because it doesn't go back into place my front LCA won't line up with the holes to bolt it back in. is the axle just going bad or am i just doing something wrong?
this is for a B18C1 motor if that helps.

You probably pulled the axle hard enough to pull the bearings in the axle out. You may have to take the boot off and put the bearing back in place.
CV boot's arent hard but they are annoying... when i was swapping a B16a into my car, the CV boot broke and i had to replace it...

It takes time. What I do is set the bearings up (you will see how they go) and spin the bearing and see if it fits, then repeat until it "falls" in. You do not have to hammer them in, they will fall into place.
