Default how much my b20 swap costed

hey all. i just completed my b20 swap into 97 hatch and thought i would put up how much everything costed me.

2001 b20z with 15 miles- $850

1998 ls tranny, intake manifold, starter, alt, distributor,ECU, axles shift linkage, and other misc bolts needed for swap - 400$

Exedy racing clutch and pressure plate - $211 shipped

ls throttle cable - $17

tune up parts, gaskets ETC 30$

b16 rear bracket - $30

b16 drivers side bracket - $45

oil, filter and coolant - 12$

upper and lower rad hoses - 9$

tranny fluid 13$

Total: $1,617.00 which is not bad for having a brand new motor with only 15 miles on it and all items replaced including a clutch.

So chad, if you ever want to share deals like these, let me know. I would sell parts off my car right now if I could get a b16 tranny or head for $150.

They dont live in the frigid **** hole that is MN with us. I assure you that their cars aren't as rusty as ours either. On the plus side, we have an entire season that we dont have to worry about theft, just have to park it through the winter.

Good deal on the B20 swap bro.

As far as finding deals, etc. it happens all the time.

I won't go into of any of mine so I don't hi-jack this topic, but LEGIT deals can be had if you are willing to do a lot of legwork and sometimes small repairs that others make out to be a big deal when it's really not.

a little insight on finding good deals...it will take some time or sometimes u can find deals very fast. but i will not buy anything unless i know i can sell it for more money then i payed. thats what i go by...i dont know what everyone else does...and also i dont buy anything that is not legit. but yeah i guess i made out pretty well. im happy with it.

i recently got a mostly complete clean legit gsr longblock for 1200. with axles / linkage / mounts etc ~70k
picking up distributor, ecu, harness this week. all i need then is cam caps and head studs.

i'm debating on cleaning it up real nice, making it complete and selling it as a complete swap minus tranny for a nice profit.

I don't know where and how you guys find b20 motors for so cheap. Up here in Canada the only place to find a USDM b20z is from a car wreaker. The cheapest one I can find is like $1100...and that's just the motor.
