Do you guys think that old school b series engine is better or the new school k series.

hold on a sec........what kind of question is that? first of all if you wanted more power to start with would you take a 1.8 or a 2.0 vtec. second of all new technology !!!!!!!

I'd say the new, the head flows better, more displacement, and more tunable.

i-vtec should be better, i can see stand alone ecu's taking advantage of VTC

ive rid in both a RSX type s and a Prelude Vtec.....they are both the same 1/4...the prelude u can feeeeeeeel that vtec kick in like a muda!...witht he rsx u do'nt feel it as much but its still fast.....i dunno....but from what ive seen the dyno numbers on a k series motor with just a aem cai is just amazing....they are just asssking to get moddded...but if i had to change one thing about he k series motor.....that is ....move the oil filter..my friend almost lost his hand trying to get that sucker out hehe either way both vtec and Ivtec are badace

yeah...i think within a few years when prices on K-series motors go down and we can all experiment with them we will be seeing over 300hp N/A

Few years? Peoiple are crashing rSXs across the nation like ITR's get stolen! Considering the fact that a k20a2 only costs 3500 dollars is cheap enough if you ask me. 300whp na is almost here too I beleive the toda kit puts you close to 250 or something and the hytech brings you even higher. Needless to say before 04 is over there's gonna be almost 1000whp boosted and 400-500 whp na rsx powered cars..

Is your friends prelude a 2.3?? I so, that explains it.

i agree with this guy, i heard that a drag car is making somewhere around 500WHP ALL MOTOR!!

thats not true.. but i bet people are making close to 400whp... which is a huge jump from the b-series...

If you guys want look into cybernation's turbo for the rsx-s and you will see they currently have a 478whp 357tq car which ran a 11.90 @119mph. Nice numbers.
