Is the 94-97 Accord SOHC motor the same...
as the 1997 Acura 2.2 CL? What about the trannies? Are they identical or is there minor differences?
edit: i am talking about the VTEC SOHC

The 94-97 Accords came with 2 different motors. All DX's & LX's came with the Non-Vtec F22b2. All EX trim Accords came with the Vtec F22b1 motor.
I think I postive that ALL Acura 2.2 CL's came with the Vtec F22b1 motor. But as for the trannies - I don't know, I just assumed they were the same.

so "most" aftermarket stuff for the 94-97 accord vtec would work on a CL? do they share the same chassis? i ask because there really isn't too much out there for the CL itself.
intake.....pullies (mayb)......headers......should all work......i DOUBT the chasis are the same......acura doesnt just rebadge "hondas"........but im guessing if its under the hood itll like up well enough.....exhaust probably isnt the same design.....but im not sure bout that

You can actually bolt up the entire front end of the cl to ur accord if you wanted to,
</TD></TR></TABLE>
what i meant to say is that yes, its rebadged in teh sense of chasis and drivetrain........but for instance, the exhaust might not follow the same since its a different shell.......OT: if i were to buy an acura/lexus/infiniti, id rebadge it with the PROPER logos, just so stupid rednecks dont think im driving a euro car
