Default OT: Just dynoed my S2000, sigh....

UPDATE: New 8200 RPM Dynochart!

I don't know what to say! The chart looks kinda funny though, the Revs aren't right and the power doesn't drop off anywhere... maybe the machine was broken

The red run was done in 3rd gear, the blue run was done in 4th gear, he did go to 8000RPM so I don't know why it said those numbers on the bottom, he gave me a BS reason why (my tach was inaccurate he said).

power is still climbing............the s2000 makes power up to 9000+rpm so tell your dyno operator to rev the **** out of it...........

They do make more power. The guy running your car on the dyno was incompetent.

Go back and stab the operator.

Were there any other s2000s at the dyno day that you could compare your car to?

Try another dyno somewhere else? Why does the graph cut out so early?... looks like the operator was drunk or something

I don't think the operator did that correctly either.

Do it again.

Looks like shitty #s cause it's not even going to 7k? maybe "revs arent right" means he forgot to do something and didn't even take it to the top.. slap him and tell him to do it again!

your numbers are horrible for a 04 s2k. but looking at the dyno, it seems fine cause you didnt' rev it to redline. i'm looking at the scc dyno and it it looks exactly like that, but it'll peak 210hp @ 8000+

anyone know why it has the dip at 6k? isn't that when vtec comes around?

Well lets consider that the dyno operator did indeed make a mistake and didn't take it all the way to 8000. Look at the change in rate (delta) near the top. It looks like its not changing at all. Something is up with your car or the dyno machine. Race an '00 s2k and if you win, you know your car isn't messed

The operator did redline it. If you look at it, my S2k makes power all the way up til 175, no drops. Most dyno charts show a drop in power after the peak horsepower, before redline.

So I think the machine was calibrated wrong and didn't get the whole run... looks like it got cut off. I'll take it to another dyno.

I wouldn't bring my car back to your shop. Your customer service skills where ******* horrible.

Can you explain why there is no power drop off after 175 then? And the revs at the bottom, my factory tach can't be off that much, so it must be an error in your software...

EDIT: Sorry, didn't mean to curse, I posted this before you posted your mistake.

Maybe you should hire someone to take care of your customer support/service. That's just terrible, you should offer him a refund DYNO WORKS. After all a baseline shouldn't be anymore than $50, right?

Hey skafia, that dyno article that vtec.net did is completely correct! My friend just got a 04 S2k and we dynoed it and got 240 at the wheels too!! Honda is acting wierd, but were not complaining!

why dont all of you bring your slow azz hondas down and i will dyno then for 25.00 and show you that my dyno is correct i dyno a lot of cars i ran your s200 till it hit the rev cut .my dyno reads the rpm at the crank so your tach is wrong .</TD></TR></TABLE>

Holy crap, I totally missed that part, he must have edited his post. This officially makes you the dumbest dyno operator in the history of dyno operators. Anyone that knows a beans worth of knowledge wouldn't make a comment like that. I would LOVE to talk to you for an extended period of time as to why you think hondas are "slow azz" and inferior, and then I'll give you knowledge that is so far above your head you'll just sit there and call me mean names and tell me I have a slow car. Honestly you should probably stab yourself in the heart right now before you make the world any dumber along with yourself.
