ive got an 86 crx hf with 160k miles on it. Sometimes when im pulling away from a stop light the car starts hesitating but when i go WOT it goes like normal but if im in between it kinda stumbles and hesitates. its got a new battery,alternator,distributor rotor,cap,and plug wires and the plug are clean.

Whats wrong? any and all help is greatly appreciated.

the low amount of power it produces... they're alot harder to get going off of a stop than most cars

you can buy my 86 CRX, it doens't hesistate at all, it's got a B16a2 in it and it fast.....lol.

can you advance the timing? that sometimes helps a bit.

 

nah i had the 240 for like 2 weeks and then i decided i wanted to go back and finish a hatch. because i never got to finish either one of my ef's. im in the process of looking for an ek hatch but its easier said then done.

It can be a number of things... it mite be your fuel system i need to know if it is carb or mpfi... well if it is injected check fuel pres. check intake filter, there are a number of things that will cause it.. i dont think it would be anything to do with spark plugs or anything of that nature...

 

its carb'ed.

 

 

check your carburator. accelator pump.
