AZ crew, I may need a favor for PIR, Feb 21-22
I ordered a set of SS brake lines over a month ago and they still haven't arrived. It may be too late for me to find them locally, but I'm looking. The rear '88 drums make it a little hard to find. Anyway, both of my front lines are split after the last event and they NEED to be replaced before I can drive. Does anyone have a spare set of brake lines (any type, OEM, SS, whatever) that would fit the fronts of the '88 CRX Si? I know the rears make the full kit special, but I imagine that several types would fit the front and that's all I need for right now. Please PM me or reply to this thread if you can help me out. This might keep me from running. Thanks!

Great, thanks! I just need them for the weekend. I'll pay for the rental in IN-N-OUT burger or beer, whichever you prefer.

I may be able to find something for you. Do you still need them?
-Danny who never has a brake pedal that works. Why do you need one?

I think I'm set. I'll know Monday.

One can buy Universal Goodridge lines. I bought mine at an Aeroquip dealer, here in Portland. They were a little less than the fitted ones, I didn't have to pay shipping and I got to secure them with zipties!
::EDIT::
They are DOT approved, too. If you get hydraulic lines fitted for the car, they will be fine, but technically not DOT approved, as most hydraulics shops can't be liable for such things.

At my level of racing (which is way too low to actually have hired help but still too high to ever go it alone) it's not unusual for an entire weekend to hang in the balance of a single bolt. Well, my savior this month is Keith. I spoke to him on the phone Monday, and by Tuesday afternoon I had the brake lines installed and bled. Looks like I'm racing after all! I can't thank you enough.
