I used to have an 87 accord. But decided to upgrade to a 96. I still have my accord and occasionally take it out and race it.

Reviving the dead here. Yeah, I've got a 3rd Gen ('86-'89). It's a silver LXi Coupe, and I love it. The A20A3 engine is one of the best Honda ever made IMHO, and I've got 246K on it right now, and have never had to pull the engine or head! I still get over 30mpg out of it and can still chirp the tires shifting from 1st to 2nd. I've had to work on the ol' 5th gear a couple of times though, but the rest of the tranny has been good. The tranny finally went out on me though, so now I'm doing a major overhaul, and will be turning it into a boosted beast. Engine is now in the shop getting forged (yeah, custom made) pistons, and ARP rod bolts put in. Head is getting revalved and cleaned, then I will do a mild P&P on it. Will be doing an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion to use a P75 ECU and OBD1 distributor for spark control. Turbo will be all custom plumbing and I'll be designing my own equal length manifold for it. Visit 3geez.com some time to see more folks like us.
Rob.
